Nutra-Life Horse Chestnut 2000 Complex is a standardised high potency herbal formulation, with the added benefits of Vitamin C plus Bioflavonoids and potent antioxidants with free radical scavenging properties, to provide nutritioinal support to assist in the management of healthy veins and arteries, helping to reduce the risk of weakened veins and capillaries.

Nutra-Life Horse Chestnut is standardised to contain the active constituent Aescin, which inhibits oedema (swelling) and helps increase peripheral circulation and oxygenation when teamed with Ginkgo biloba.

Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) has shown effectiveness in the treatment of venous insufficiency of the lower limbs and varicose veins. It appears to enhance connective tissue structure and integrity by stimulating glycosaminoglycan synthesis, reduce sclerosis and improve circulation throught the affected limbs.

Butchers Broom (Ruscus aculeatus) exhibits anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictor effects and has a traditional use in the treatment of venous disorders such as varicose veins and haemorrhoids.

Nutra-Life Horse Chestnut 2000 Complex includes Bilberry Extract standardised to contain anthocyanosides which are potent antioxidants and inhibitors of several enzymes involved in inflammation. Anthocyanosides prevent the breakdown of Vitamin C, improve capillary integrity and stabilise the collagen matrix by preventing free radical damage.

Bioflavonoids (including Hesperidin) act synergistically with Vitamin C to protect and preseve the structure of capillaries. They prevent cells from clumping together and forming blood clots. Vitamin C is necessary for the formation of collagen found in the walls of capillaries, loss of this structural collagen leads to rupture of the capillary and the formation of 'spider veins' (patechial haemorrhages).
