Thompsons high potency One-A-Day Vitex 1000 may assist in maintaining healthy hormone levels amd may aid in the relief of premenstrual and menstrual symptoms including cramping, breast tenderness, fluid retention, bloating and headaches.

Vitex Agnus-Castus, or Chaste Tree, shows hormone type activity but is itself not a hormone. It helps to regulate the menstrual cycle and may assist in the symptomatic relief of irregular periods. Its effects derive from its ability to maintain a normal balance of oestrogen and progesterone in the body.

Research undertaken in Germany in the 1960’s indicated that Vitex works via the pituitary gland, maintaining a healthy balance of luteinising hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in the body as well as normal prolactin levels.

May assist in the management/relief of pre-menstrual and menstrual symptoms including:

• pre-menstrual breast pain
